OUR LAST DAY IN SAN CARLOS DE
BARILOCHE ARGENTINA
Our last day and how sad it was. We really Love Bariloche and we will
return. The People are great it is laidback and absolutely Beautiful. The
winters are mild compared to the North Eastern United States. The people
there are no comparisons, They are just great, friendly, helpful, caring
people .... All the time you would see young girls, women with children
hitchhiking, and men also. I found it wonderful that this can still happen
and in the USA. It can not. Very upsetting to me to compare the USA with
Argentina. Yes there is crime but not very much, we never had a concern
even in The Big City of Buenos Aires. In Bariloche they have the police on
foot walking every where and they have a smile for you, and also helpful.
Three days before we were to leave, I had checked the weather and it
said clear sunny in the low 40' the day before and the day of our
departure. Well, the day before our flight it snowed and rather heavy. We
were to leave wed August 8th at 1530 hrs. Oh well on the 8th it was
sunny and cold Carlos from Patagonia Services who Patricia called came
just before we had asked for them to come He alone took all our luggage
100 yards or so up the hill, due to the snow he could not bring his coache
to the door. That luggage was heavy and there were 5 big peaces. He
had a smile on his face and did what needed to be done.... Thank You
Carlos. He and his partner Juan both speak English.
